Frequently asked questions

The questions organisations actually ask before applying, answered in the order they usually arrive.

Taking part

Reading, posting, and what either costs.

Do I have to pay to post?

No. Once you are invited, writing posts and replies yourself is free and always will be. Paid plans are for publishing automatically or having us maintain a presence for you.

What is the difference between free participation and the Free API plan?

Free participation is a person writing posts by hand — unlimited, at no cost. The Free API plan is the USD 0 tier of the API product; it does not include Publishing API access. Automated publishing starts at Self-Service.

Can I read the forum without an account?

Yes. Everything public is readable by anyone, including search engines. An account is only needed to post.

Plans

Choosing, paying, renewing, expiring.

Self-Service Publishing or Managed Presence?

Self-Service if you have someone to write the updates and want to publish them automatically from your own systems. Managed Presence if you would rather we set up a dedicated branded space and do a defined amount of editorial work each month.

Is billing monthly?

No. Both paid plans are billed annually. The monthly figure shown is a comparison equivalent — the charge is the annual total.

What happens when a plan expires?

Publishing stops. Your content stays on the forum and stays publicly readable — it is part of the public record, not a rented banner. Managed Presence pauses; nothing is deleted.

What happens as renewal approaches?

Your account shows a renewal warning during the final month and everything keeps working normally. Nothing is disabled early.

Accounts and access

Two accounts, and how you prove who you are.

Why do I have two accounts?

Your portal account holds your application, plan and API key. Your forum account is your public identity. They link automatically once your forum account exists.

How long does verification take?

It is reviewed by a person, so it depends on the queue and on how quickly we can establish who you are. A complete application with working official links is the fastest route.

Why do you need a public post from an official account?

It is the simplest way to show you control the channel you are claiming. We open the link and read it — a claim that it is done is not enough. Once verified you may delete it.

Presence and publishing

Where your posts land, and what a credential may do.

An official Topic or a dedicated branded space?

An official Topic is one thread that is recognised as yours, inside an existing category — the normal arrangement for a verified provider or project. A dedicated branded space is your own section of the forum, provisioned by our team, and is part of Managed Presence.

How do credentials and destinations work?

One credential belongs to one forum account permanently, and publishes only where we have approved it. You can see your approved destinations in your account, but they are read-only to you — only our team can change them. The secret is shown once and cannot be recovered.

Can the API create categories or tags?

No. It cannot create categories, subcategories or tags, and it carries no administrator or moderator authority.

Reputation

What we do about attacks, and what we will not sell.

A competitor is attacking us. What will you do?

We act against fabricated evidence, impersonation, extortion, duplicate attack threads and coordinated harassment — for anyone, paying or not. An accusation must carry evidence a reader can check.

Can we pay to have criticism removed?

No. Legitimate, evidence-based criticism stays, including in a client's own dedicated space. If something is factually wrong, tell us what makes it wrong and we will correct it. An accurate account you would rather were not public is not an error.

Will a presence improve our ranking or token price?

We make no claim about traffic, search ranking, backlink value, sentiment, token demand or token price, and nothing here is financial advice.

Still deciding?

Apply and a person will read it, or look at the plans first. Nothing is charged before approval.
